How to Apply

Applying is simple.

Our admissions journey has four steps. Your Application Form allows CHMS to learn more about you and your family. The virtual or in-person parent visit is a wonderful opportunity for both of us to discuss our values and see if CHMS is the right fit for your family. The in-person parent and child visit allows CHMS to see your child and how they engage in the Montessori environment. Afterward, CHMS will notify you of an acceptance or waitlist placement. We look forward to welcoming you and your family to the CHMS community.

Visit (Parent Only)

Receive a link to schedule a visit with our Head of School Ms. Denise or Assistant Head of School Mr. Jad. Our Arlington campus offers a virtual or in-person visit. Our Alexandria campus offers a virtual visit, at this moment in time. At least one parent is required to attend.

Visit (Parent + Child)

For our Arlington campus, we welcome you and your child for a brief visit on our CHMS playground. For our Alexandria campus, we welcome you and your child for a brief visit to a Del Ray playground (until campus construction is complete).

Decide

Receive an enrollment decision from CHMS. If we are unable to offer a placement, your child’s name will be added to our waitlist and you will be notified when a placement is available.

Who May Enroll

Children’s House Montessori School welcomes toddlers (24 months to 33 months) and preschoolers (2.8 to 6 years old). All toddlers are welcome to join our Toddler Program in diapers, and we look forward to celebrating the day when each toddler becomes toilet trained. In our Preschool Program, all children are completely toilet trained.
